Geospatial Data Analysis Using MATLAB
Learn how MATLAB provides a complete environment in which to visualize, explore, and analyze geospatial data such as vector maps, georeferenced imagery, and terrain data. Version 2.0 of the Mapping Toolbox has significant new capabilities, such as support for standard GIS and geospatial file formats, new display functions (including display of georeferenced imagery and vector symbolization), projection enhancements, and a new interactive map viewer. These capabilities are useful in applications such as aerospace, defense, geophysics, intelligence, oceanography, and other earth and planetary sciences. This webinar includes a brief product overview and several demonstrations.

Satellite Navigation (SatNav) Toolbox - Simulation and analysis software for GPS and GNSS
The Satellite Navigation (SatNav) Toolbox is a collection of M-files for total
system simulation. GPS, Glonass, and user-definable satellite constellations are emulated, along with the raw measurements (pseudo-range and carrier-phase) formed by the receiver. The toolbox also provides functions to process the measurements in a variety of GNSS applications. Users include scientists, engineers, university educators, and students who need to simulate and analyze satellite-based navigation systems. The toolbox is delivered as a set of M-files. The SatNav Toolbox is fully compatible with GPSofts' Inertial Navigation System (INS) Toolbox, which allows for simulation of integrated GPS and INS applications. The toolbox has recently been updated and now allows the user to emulate the C/A-code on L1, L2, L5 and any other user defined frequency. In addition, the toolbox can be used to simulate P-code on L1 and L2. Application Areas: Aerospace; Application development; Data analysis/modeling; Educational instruction; GPS analysis; Navigation.

WORLD TIDES and WORLD CURRENTS
WORLD TIDES and WORLD CURRENTS are MATLAB GUI programs for the analysis and prediction of tides and tidal currents in coastal oceans and estuaries. Up to 35 tidal constituents may be selected using a harmonic reduction in variance procedure similar to multiple regression analysis to obtain a customized set of tidal harmonic constants. Predictions can then be made at water level or water current stations that have these constants in any region of the world. Although the programs were written with oceanographers and ocean engineers in mind who often work in areas with a paucity of reliable field data, files up to one year in length may be analyzed. Companion programs coopsR6m and coopsVhr permit downloading of recent and historical data from more than 240 active water level stations in the continental U.S., Alaska and Hawaii using SOAP web services provided by the U.S. National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA). WORLD TIDES can now perform storm tide analysis of the data and determine extratidal water levels using Highest Astronomical Tide (HAT) and Lowest Astronomical Tide (LAT), datums determined by the program.

Constellation Toolbox - A comprehensive simulation and analysis package for satellite constellations
The Constellation Toolbox is a set of MATLAB based utilities for the
analysis and simulation of satellite constellations, including GPS, GLONASS, and user-defined constellations. Basic constellation visibility and interference problems are modeled. The toolbox provides GPS specific error models for Selective Availability, atmospheric delays, receiver errors, and GPS satellite errors. Also included is DGPS modeling capability. Simulated GPS data includes eudorange, carrier phase, and Doppler measurements which are used to obtain navigation solutions. Graphical output is provided with specialized functions for plotting data for satellite constellations. For quick implementation by users, a robust set of example programs solve many problems with only minor modifications. Application Areas: Aerospace; Constellation design; Earth sciences/geosciences; Hydraulics/pneumatics; Semiconductors; Test equipment/instruments.

Expanding on the highly successful SatNav Toolbox, GPSoft is proud to introduce the INS Toolbox for Matlab. As with the SatNav Toolbox, the INS Toolbox has been designed specifically with simulation and analysis in mind. Raw measurments (delta-V's and delta theta's) are generated and typical error sources (gyro and accelerometer biases, scale factor errors, noise and initialization
errors) are emulated. The Toolbox is fully compatible with the SatNav Toolbox to allow for integrated system analysis and simulation.

GI-EYE - GPS/Inertial mapping and georegistration system
The GI-Eye system is a Global Positioning System (GPS), inertial, and
digital camera sensor designed for collecting precision video data to be used for geolocation of target or feature coordinates. GI-Eye takes advantage of differential GPS to provide the precise location of each camera image by using the NAVSYS proprietary kinematic alignment algorithm to measure the precise attitude of the camera using the inertial sensor data. By recording the precise location and attitude of the video images, the extraction of feature location data is simplified and streamlined. This results in more efficient and rapid data processing, thus reducing the time required to generate high-accuracy target or feature coordinates. Application Areas: Data analysis/modeling; Machine vision; Mapping; Satellite design.

Gridgen
GRIDGEN is a MATLAB-based tool to construct orthongonal curvilinear grids for of NetCDF files for ECOM and SCRUM ocean circulation models. There exist command-line utilities for generating grids, but it is difficult to really see what you are doing until you are finished doing it. With gridgen, one can see the results of one's actions at each step, and even backtrack if necessary. Because of performance concerns, some routines had to be placed in native fortran and C code mex-files, so portability is a concern. So far it has run successfully on the Win95, SGI, Digital UNIX and Linux platforms. One should also be aware that the author considers this to be beta software, so use at your own risk!

SeaGrid Orthogonal Grid Maker For Matlab
Starting from a conformal projection (such as Mercator) of the targeted area, SeaGrid uses the Ives-Zacharias scheme to conformally map the curved perimeter to a rectangle, after which, a Poisson solver fills the interior with orthogonally distributed grid points. Control over such features as the number of grid-cells and the density of grid lines is provided by menus, dialogs, and direct graphical manipulation of objects in the program's display window. Behind the scenes, Seagrid uses a new object-oriented window manager (Presto), plus some Mex-files. None of these rely on optional MathWorks toolboxes.

GCE Data Toolbox for MATLAB
The GCE Data Toolbox is a comprehensive library of functions for metadata-based analysis, visualization, transformation and management of ecological data sets. The toolbox is based on the GCE Data Structure specification, a standard for storing tabular data along with all information required to interpret the data and generate formatted metadata (documentation). The various metadata fields in the structure are queried by toolbox functions for all operations, allowing functions to process and format values appropriately based on the type of information they represent. This 'semantic processing' approach supports highly automated and intelligent data analysis and ensures data set validity throughout all processing steps.
